ONS Death Certificate Data
20 January 2022
The UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) responded to an FOI request (Ref: FOI/2021/3368) on the 17th January 2022, publishing data for “COVID-19 deaths and autopsies Feb 2020 to Dec 2021”.
The FOI request contained two questions (quoted below as written on the site):
- Please supply deaths caused solely by covid 19, where covid is the only cause of death listed on the death certificate, broken down by age group and gender between feb 2020 up to and including dec 2021.
- Please supply the number of autopsies carried out on those where covid was the only cause stated.
They responded to the second question by stating they don’t “hold analysis on the number of post-mortems completed” which seems like something one would expect a record of, but the ONS claims not to have that data.
They do answer the first question, with a table of data you can download here so you can easily check these figures for yourself, and they do actually list them on the page too. In summary, bearing in mind that it is still up for debate as to what actually caused these tragic deaths, the number of people in total that died where COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned on the death certificate from the 1st February 2020 to 31st December 2021 (so 23 months) was:
6,183
Of those, 4,994 of them were 65 or older, and only 3 were 19 or under. That leaves 1,186 working age people, in almost 2 years.
The point here is not to diminish the importance of any lives lost. Those people mattered, as every life does. The point here is to illustrate proportionality. The measures inflicted, lockdowns, “social distancing”, facemasks, all of which are now being proven to have not made the slightest impact on saving lives, slowing the spread or controlling the “pandemic” but HAVE inflicted harms so great they are almost incalculable, over 6,183 deaths that are still questionably attributed to COVID-19.
For some perspective, as we were told influenza had mysteriously or predictably (depending on who you listened to) vanished until very recently with the laughable introduction of “Flurona”, in 2018 for example, according to the NOMIS Official Labour Market Statistics website, 27,142 “working age people” i.e. aged 20-64 died from influenza and pneumonia just in England.
Here is a graphic to visualise that…
In 23 months, COVID-19 is alleged to have claimed the lives of just 4.36% of the number of working aged people that influenza and pneumonia claimed in just the 12 months of 2018.
These figures are not proof that SARS-CoV-2 was ever isolated, or that COVID-19 is real or not. These figures are proof however that the UK Government response (and that of all the other Governments around the world) are so massively disproportionate to the alleged threat posed by this “novel coronavirus” based on this Government data the only conclusion we can reasonably come to is that there was another reason for it all.
Remember this took an FOI request from a member of the public to get this data, the Government would have had access to these numbers all the way along. The mainstream media at no point published these figures and so this unprecedented level of State intervention, topped off with the aggressive push for (at best) ineffective “vaccines” and the deliberate withholding and demonising of early interventions with cheap, off-patent, safe and effective treatments, vitamins and minerals can really only lead us to one conclusion.
This was never about a “virus”, public health or protecting the NHS/vulnerable or indeed “flattening the curve”.
